That's a beautiful dog TD. We have adopted 2 into our household, the first one was Max a Rat Terrier/Feist mix that my sister-in-law was trying to find a home for her husband's sister who couldn't take care of the puppies. He was 6 weeks old and you could hold him easily in the palm of your hand.
This is Max last Christmas when he was about 13 months old playing with one of his new toys.
The second one we adopted earlier this year in April. His name is Milo and right now he's a 7 month old Siberian Husky that looks a lot like Nika that TD is finding a home for. The owner of the puppies had I think 7 of him that he was going to kill until the girl we got him from rescued all of them. Milo was the last one left when we checked on him and my wife loved him. We had talked about getting a Siberian before we got Max and I would have loved to have one with blue eyes, but his are black and I love him either way. He's somewhere around 35 - 40 pounds by now and keeps getting bigger. Most of these were taken the day he came home from the vet after being neutered.
Max and Milo on the sofa.
Most people laugh at the two of them together because they don't look like they would be good friends at all with Max being so little and hyper most of the time and Milo being so big and pretty relaxed. However, they are great friends who love playing together and picking on each other. Just try separating them to give one a bath or something and you'll see. Milo will howl non-stop until he sees Max and then goes nuts trying to get to him. Max barks like a demon dog until he has his "little" brother to play with again.
We had Max neutered primarily at first in hopes to calm him down some and for his health benefits. With Milo it was part of the adoption agreement but we were going to do it anyway. I hope you keep Nika TD and if we had room for one more I'd definitely think about it.
