New Graphics/Old squad

I haven't played in about year and I heard this game had new facelift. I am planning on returning back to the game hopefully in maybe 2 weeks. I am worried about the new graphics are going to play hell with my video card, which is pretty old. When I download it back, would i have opinion to download the graphics as it used to be or would it not really affect my FPS? Hopefully not. Also, I have been playing another game that was first person shooting game  and I was using program called game booster. Would that by any chance help me in this game?

Also, I noticed the 412th no longer has website nor can i find them on the squad info, did the squad disband? Hopefully not.

The "new" graphics - ie terrain, can be disabled. I have a crappy integrated graphics card and the game runs just fine. The terrain with detailed terrain disabled IMO looks worse than the old terrain. If you want to be stunned, you'll want the new terrain enabled.

RoGenT, if you post a little more info on your system, we should be able to let you know if it will run OK.  But, yes, as boomerlu stated, if you turn off the eye candy, you should be able to fly without too much trouble.

If you have to dumb down your graphics you will want to start with turning detailed water and land off but keep bump mapping on,it wont effect your FR but it looks just fine.

THank you for the replies so far. I downloaded the game and played offline since its all I can do until i get the money order, it is still $14.95?

Also, where is the opintion to turn off the eye candy?

I would give little bit more info about my computer but i'm not extremely familiar with it unfortunely. As long as I can get in there and no have lot of warping baddies or myself doing the same, I should be okay.

When you log on on bring up your clipboard just go to options and graphic detail and advanced settings.Make sure you keep bump mapping on.

Hey Rogent, Glad to see you're comming back. I returned to the game about a month ago as well, don't sweat the difference in the game, it's running fine on my system and I've got a POS computer.
