Chog's missing 600lbs of weight, will it be corrected in 1.06?
« on: February 04, 2001, 07:31:00 AM »
Hi

Few weeks back F4UDOA or Westy posted a bunch of USN test data on F4Us and others.
The documents pointed out that chog weighed 300lbs more than dhog. My understanding as I hear it from HTC is that in AH the chog is actually made 300lbs lighter than dhog. IIRC Pyro even posted he was aware of this error and would look into fixing it. So does anyone know if chog is gonna get its 600lbs weight increase in 1.06 or maybe even a quick patch? Pyro you made any progress on this?

thanks GRUNHERZ

No whining here.

In fact I fully expect the -1C to put on some weight this version. I also hope that the other fixes are made. Especially the one that raises the initial climb of the -1D to 3400fpm and the acceleration to match. Also the top speed at sea level to 366MPH instead of 359MPH. As well as the WEP increasing from 5minutes to 8.5minutes. And just for good measure the power off stall should be 87.5MPH at full gross weight no power. And this is at combat loading not clean condition.

Also the C-hog does need to gain about 600lbs. But the stall actually needs to come down anyway. The power off stall for the C-hog power off should be 88.6MPH from the 100mph+ we have now. You see just changing the weight doesn't actually change performance when the documented performance is better than what we currently have. Notice the -1C climb/acceleration is better than what is in AH currently. So you see while the listed weight should change the stall, turn, climb and acceleration should improve based on performance data.

Careful what you whish for, you might get it.
