These are the headphones I used now after using Logitech and Plantronic.

Turtle Beach EFHPA2 5.1 Headset

The Logitechs were okay, decent quality sound but would be unconfortable after a few hours of use.  Plantronics mic quality was good but again, they would become unconfortable after a short time and the sound quality was no more then just 'decent'.  When my fiancée bought her Dell computer, the Turtle Beach headset came bundled with it and since I needed new ones, I snagged them for my own use.  Great headphones, 5.1 surround sound is excellent in games, listening to music and for movies.  The mic works great and comes with controls to adjust the subwoofer and surround sound.  I recommend them if you don't mind spending $75-100 (cost depends where you buy them).
