"No matter where you are, no matter how high you go, the only given in the AH universe is that there will always be a Rook higher than you."

noooooooo!

and another thing how often do we see the AH "realistic altitude" fighters serve "realistic purposes" aka escorting there bombers.

prime example, i space cadet bagrat was flyin bombers at 20k to make bomb run. an there are co-alt enemy fighters ahead. as the enemy begin to drool i notice my "realistic" alt countrymen are no where to be found......they abandon me  to return to the base to climb for more "cherry picking realistic altitude" .

this makes me a very sad bagrat :cry

i suppose my argument serves no purpose but to let the astronauts know. if you are at 20k with no friendly bombers in sight to escort. do not try to justify ur altitude as "realistic". but say "i am cherry picker" deal with it

so all the alt monkeys can hang wit each other at 90k an the rest of us can go about our AH lives. cuz everyone knows they never descend more than 10k an that leaves like 70k buffer zone.....yea! :rock

P.S i was vulchin bombers off this enemy base got my entire wing blown off by ak an augered a grotesk death. which resulted in a successful lading of 2 kills when i was put bak in the tower....thanks AH

A vulcher complaining about alt monkeys?   :huh

I had a P-51 dive on me from 15K while I was at 7K, I watched him dive waiting for the right time to make my move when he pulled back up. Must have seen his alt. gauge below 10K.  :lol

Also, what is it with Bishops and Knights thinking Rooks always fly higher than everyone else. I've seen Knights and Bishop just as high plenty of times. If you ask me, the only 1 true statement about AHII is that Bishop never fly alone.  ;)

You Knights and Bishop are just mad that we Rooks 0WN!!!11!!  :D :P

That would have been me yesterday, thank you very much  :aok
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

there is no argument here. i think you just came to the forums because you had wish your buffs were safe at 20k.
now for argument's sake, let's just compromise  :P let's all fly at 15k (buffs & fighters) and we can all get along.

for shuffler, i'll bring up the chart again.

Quoted for truth. I was escorting thndrEGG's bomb run this past Saturday and found myself escorting B17s over 30k of altitude.

The 91st was on a 30K buff raid, and the escorts were 32-35K...rooks were coming in at 38K....just saying :)

I always see the buzzards flying up there with a couple of eagles.

I personally like being at around 3k with a high bird dropping in. More to the game that way. First kill his E. Then reel him on in.

Yep - I personally prefer about 12-15k but there is ALWAYS someone higher - as an earlier CO once told me " he can't hurt ya way up there!". And, like you, if he comes down I got a few moves tucked away that work (most of the time LOL).

Ya can never have too much love or alt eh!! :D
