From what I remember, it is the 20gig and the 60 gig.

The only PS3's that will support PS2 game whether is be via software emulation or hardware will have a serial of; CECHBxx, CECHAxx, CECHCxx, or CECHExx (the xx always being #'s or letters). None of these are still in production so your going to have to go to Amazon, Ebay, etc to find them.

20 GB, 60GB, and some 80GB are backwards compatible.

In my own experiences, while I have a 60GB ps3, I have yet to play any of my PS2 games on it.

The new games coming out on the PS3 make it worth it not even play the PS2 games anymore and the graphics on the new games are not comparable to the PS2 games imo.

All PS3s should be somewhat compatible with PS2 games, with the earlier PS3 models offering better compatibility.  If you can still find one, the 60GB PS3 model still has the PS2 "Emotion Engine" CPU, which makes the 60GB PS3 a PS2/PS3 hybrid with the ability to play pretty much all PS2 games along with all PS3 games.  I believe the newer 40GB and 160GB models no longer have any PS2 compatibility due to the removal of the "Graphics Synthesizer" GPU.  The 80GB model still retaings the Graphics Synthesizer GPU but not the Emotion Engine CPU so it while it does have PS2 backwards compatibility it is limited.

Basically, you either want to find one of the older 60GB models or get one of the 80GB models.

The real difference isn't really the hard drive size but rather features.  Not sure with the slim models, but usually the lower GB sized PS3s are the ones that also have less features.  Take a look at the features between the models and let that be the determining factor, not the hard drive size.  You can easily upgrade the PS3 stock hard drive with any 2.5-inch SATA notebook hard drive of a larger size.

You dont really use that much memory for the games.

Im pretty sure they all have the wireless ability, some however I think have different memory card features.

It really comes down to how much do you plan on putting on the ps3 as I know many download games, movies, and music from the playstation store.  I have a 60 GB and I think Ive only used 20 all the years I have had it.

I had the 60 gig and upgraded it to a 300 gig, with a change of hard drive, al you need to do is d/l the drivers onto a flash card and all ps3's can be backwards compatible....
