Bomber Calibration

I have not confirmed this in every bomber but I do know that in the Arado at least the calibration takes two attempts before it takes properly. A single calibration will not succeed in calibration.

i also thought this ( i sometimes calibrate twice for good meassure )

I had it worse last night when calibration would go nuts. One time its too fast and then next tis too slow. Even if it takes two tries it should calibrate if the speed of the jet is stable.

I know some folks say "just 2 seconds, it's done" when they calibrate...

It's never been that case for me. I often have to hold it for a 20-count (15 seconds?) or more, and have to do that about 3-4 times.

As you can imagine it means no last-minute fiddling, and makes recalibrating after dropping half my bombs a pain.

I figured that was just the way it's coded, rather than it being a bug.

Mild hijack: Simply don't recalibrate speed (just alt, which only needs quick tap on "u")
It's far easier to adjust speed after drop using rpm, throttle and bombbay doors.

Its not that way on the Arado. After further testing I have discovered that the first bomb drop works fine but if you hold some eggs back and drop them as singles the second drop will be more difficult to calibrate. What this means is it may calibrate to 98 mph after having been calibrated to 403 mph for instance. Consecutive calibrations will go all over the scale and it will be mere chance upon the last bomb to drop that you can get the calibration within 2 mph of the listed E6B speed. I even tried using the manual method which wont work and by the time you do that and discover there is a problem its too late to fix it.

Every bomber acts the same way. If you have calibration for one heading and altitude and then change the first time through calibration will bring up some odd result. I never noticed this until I started using the E6B for calibration and it never bothered me until now either. Is it a problem with having the E6B up?
