Amazon kept running out of pre-orders for Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition. The third time they got more pre-orders they only got 1 copy and were selling it for $700!!  :O I waited a few hours and luckily they got more copies and the price went back down to the original $150.

My buddy got the Prestige edition. And I fully expected to NVG's to be a complete waste....They're actually -really- cool. We were playing with them at work. Pitch black room, IR emitting diodes. Could see just fine. Was actually really impressed with em.

Better than those ones that came out last yr for kids?  I mean, I CAN go and get some gen 3's on ebay... but I dont have 3.5K to blow on em

Gen 2's are fine for what I would need them for.  Beside I don't want all the crap that comes with having gen 3's.

Can't comment on the ones for the kiddies as I haven't ran across a pair. But the ones that come with the Prestige edition don't suck.

I agree with Toof. My buddy brought his into work a week ago. We took them out on the flight line and they work great. I could see pilots picking their nose a good distance away while doing their pre flight.

Just hink about them going through that check list.
