Funny thing about cheaters at anything, they are only "sorry" when they get caught.

I wonder if Tiger yells "GET IN THE HOLE!" when he's on his excursions...

hrmm....  well.....Bill Simmons wrote about this at great length, noting that Tiger has never really been in a position to blow off steam in his life (military dad, scholarship athlete, corporate schill most of his life, etc).

I have some degree of sympathy simply because Tiger has never asked us to engage him in his personal life, the way many celebrities do. He's never tried to sell it as part of his package. He's a great golfer and a winner, and that's why you should buy Product X. He's never tried to hold himself up as a moral paragon or a great husband. He's been very dilligent about keeping his worlds apart (lest you kill independent Tiger!). As such, since he never tried to make his private life my business before, I'm not sure why it's supposed to be my business NOW.

Mostly, though, I have a rule - I don't get too wrapped up in any "sports" story that also runs on the cover of Us Magazine.

With the exception of people who claim the moral high ground-- as a role model or for family values or whatever-- I've always thought that celebrity's personal lives should remain personal. Tiger Woods has been a good guy as far as I know and I'm sure he's got enough issues at this point.
In the case of people who act like they're be 'holier than thou' like televangelists and family values politicians (hypocrites), who put down people that don't adhere the the moral standards that they preach (but personally can't follow them) roast them in the media until they can never show their face in public again. Just my opinion though.
Leave Woods alone though...

I view the situation this way: I'm an athlete in my late 20s. I'm not sure why I got married, since I have p00n thrown at my feet day in and day out. I'm rich. The guy should hang a deli counter on his zipper for the ladies to take a number and just yell NOW SERVING NUMBER X!!!

I couldn't tell you what the last golf tournament he played in or where he placed so why do I care if he's getting some on the side. KEEP LAYING THE PIPE TIGER!!!!

MEOWWW..a TIGER
 :neener:
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
