New stick?
« on: January 22, 2010, 11:09:53 PM »
Ok I am looking to buy a new stick, looking at the saitek x65f pro flight or the logitech g940.Looking for any info on them if one is better in any way, they both come with the rudder pedals close in price.I have bought logitech extreme 3D,thrustmaster T.1600 and hated that one.and have a x52 and I hate that one only cause stick is to weak and yes, tried a washer thought about the x52 pro but don't want to waste the money to find out the spring is weak.Or any other info of good sticks with more buttons to look at?

I heard the s65 has no spring and is similar to the way the F16 stick works.

i spent all the cash for the CH pro/throttle and pedals.
stick is (out of the box) like its worn out. no resistance at all.
big bucks just to find out i dont like it all that much.
after the 3d xtream its like the 2 week trial days.
i guess for the money i could have bought 10 3d xtreams and just changed them out every 6 months when they die
instead of having to retrain with a new stick / pedals and 80 buttons my old Xss cant come to terms with.

I aint that good a stick but the 3d is cheap n easy and its served me well for about 4 years or so.

I'M just sayin...............

that is all

I bought the G940 to replace my X52 and am very happy with the HOTAS portion. Very well built and no issues or complaints, the FFB is a huge step up from the X52's floppiness IMO. I do not like the rudder pedals compared to my Propedals. The travel is a bit shorter and the centering less precise. So occasionally I'll have a tad bit of rudder input I don't actually want. However it's never been bad enough for me to swap the propedals back in and I'm 99% used to them after a few months. So I'd say they are different not worse.
