To each their own. And obviously we have Gigabyte fans here.
I have two PC's with Gigabyte boards including the one Im on now and fly with.
Also have had a couple of builds with Asus boards.
and an MSI and an Intel board

But if I had to do do my build over again. I'd probably go Asus. I just find them easier to deal with.

Just personal preference

Yup, I've used GB on 2 builds, Asus on 1 and MSI on another...I tend to look for GB first, but I get whatever's the best deal.

I have an MSI board and an Abit board. Both have been great. Nothing against Gigabyte boards though.

And while at one time, I wouldn't buy anything other than an Abit, I had several bad experiences in a row 6 or 7 years ago - the Abit boards I bought were poorly designed, had compatibility and stability problems - in general, the quality of the Abit boards had gone downhill dramatically.

Have they improved again in your opinion?

Kinda hard to NOE a new Tempest box onto your desk no matter how hard you try.  A mini beer fridge is smaller.
