Burning question!
« on: July 22, 2010, 06:10:03 PM »
I was watching the history channel or the military channel a couple of days ago. They were showing the F4F vs the AM6. Now on the F4Fs they used incendiary rounds to shoot down the zero since they had little armor and no gas tank bladder. So my question relating to aces high does it make a difference using tracers against zeros rather than not using tracers as far as damage is concerned?

No difference w/ tracers on or off.  If you feel you're not lighting up the a6m or other Jap planes as effectively as you should it's likely got more to do with the convergence settings of your .50 cals.  Even a very brief snapshot at an a6m with 50-cals at the correct convergences light them up pretty good in my experiences, tracers on or off.
