CH Products FFX stick Question...
« on: May 25, 2001, 09:28:00 AM »
 Well. I'm going to dig this out of the closet and try it out. I've been waiting for this for a loooong time. I got the stick in hopes of using it with AH and I am hoping it's implementation is as nice as the reports are saying!

 But I was wondering what drivers/software you folks who are using one have installed?  I traded for this stick and it did not come with the original installation software. CH's web site has several different files to select from and I'd hate to use the wrong ones

 Anyone want to hand this dweeb  clue?

 Thanks!

Hi Westy,
   For the FX joystick you will need the ForceFX.exe file from www.chproducts.com  under Tech support PC files section.
  Also you will need to set the tiny button on the bottom of the CH Force FX stick to location B if you are using it with a CH Pro Throttle and or most other sperate throttles. Leave it on A location only if you have no sperate throttle.
  If you have a CH Pro Throttle to go with your CH FX stick I suggest you down load the Jedman.zip file for speedkeys from HTC's sight under downloads. Unzip to where ever you have speedkeys installed (default is C:\programFiles\chproducts\speedkeys.

Once ForceFX.exe is installed got to Windows game controller setup and select the setup you have i.e. ForceFX DX5 Joystick Only (serial)
                            ForceFX DX5 Joystick & Throttle (serial)
                            ForceFX DX5 Joystick & Rudders (serial)
                            ForceFX DX5 Joystick Throttle & Rudders (serial)
Select and calibrate your setup in windows then;
with speed keys:
Load the Jedman files into your throttle and joystick. Note that you must select the Jane's/Combat Force FX as your joystick selection in speed keys then edit the jedman files to your liking.

Hope This Helps Some,
