In the same vein, as an avid GV'er (I fly rarely cause I suck at it), I would love a bail option on a turreted or dead engined GV. Think of how many guys would be in the maproom awaiting the M3's troop drop if you are turreted at the maproom. A GV with the engine or turret out shouldn't be a kill as they can be repaired. Need a few tow trucks to haul them back to base and repair them. Most GV guys I ever met in the field, if the GV was disabled grabbed their rifles and became a grunt like the rest of us.

No I want them to RISK messing up their scores to save mine. and as pointed out about, get "rescue" points of thier own. Asuccessful rescue is win-win for the recueing team or squad.

No the downed pilot has nothing to lose and everything to gain.  What really makes me laugh about this idea is the fact that by the time you get rescued and back on base, you probably would have earned more perks of u had towered to begin with.

I like the idea of be able to rescue a downed pilot.  Something like the Fieseler Fi 156 "Storch", would come into play in this case.  It would also promote camaraderie among squads and fellow players.  At this point, I would say the only plane you could use is the C-47.  As for the GV, the Jeep.  You would get credited perks towards GV or Bomber and the further the pilot is in enemy territory, the higher the reward.  Hmm...but for those pilots downed over the sea, the PT would be the rescue of choice.  That is until something like the Vought OS2U Kingfisher or the Kawanishi H8K "Emily" could be put into play.  :x

I think it's a pretty cool idea. Though would perks be awarded to the player who rescued the downed pilot?

back a while on Mid war I used to pull up to a walking pilot Newb in a M-3 and tell 'em to hope on. After several attempts they'd ask "How do it get in?".   :rofl  I'm not that ornery anymore.  :old:

Vehicle supplies.

The stories I've heard from gv guys IRL is you set up a perimeter and get out and fix the tank.
