Love Gigabyte MB's.  It does accept the Phenom II.  Can  say how well this board performs no.

Nice looking board.  too many e-sata's for the average user, but, the sideways mounted sata's make for easier cable management.  Bus speeds look good.  +1 on liking the Gigabyte boards.  Upon install, go to their website and download the latest drivers, will help immensely with the rest of the install.
