Just popped online to see if I had the terrain downloaded and noticed that at the airfields around Port Moresby the P-39Q was enabled (A3, A14).  The P-40 wasn't enabled at those fields but was enabled at the Port itself (P13) but the port doesn't have a runway. :)

Jaeger,

The only thing I could add is if there's an update before next Thursday and the G4M is added... get her in the setup. Oh and tend to Soulyss' P-39Q problem.

according to the setup, only 13 had p40e's. and you can take off from the base, albeit with a little difficulty. i tested it last night. ill disable the Q when i get home tonight.

Flew the setup tonight was fun but have one observation.   It's more like Port Moresby, than Coral Sea.  The P40 and P39 vs the Zeke is fun but placement of the US CVs makes it time consuming to get the  Wildcats into the fight.  Would it be possible to move the CVs a half sector further north?  Or place the US CVs and the IJN CVs a couple sectors apart opposing each other.  Don't need them right up close or on top of each other.  But the current distance really limits the use of the F4f( or the CV based IJ planes) and imo the F4f vs A6m2 is a great fight. <S>

Bug your observations were one of the challenges of the setup. If the aircraft at Port Morsby were not present it would be too much like the Midway setup. If the CVs are too far away it boils down to a battle of Port Morsby  Army aircraft onkly against the Zekes. It's one of the things you can't see until the setup actually flys. I was planning another setup called Seven Mile Strip based upon the battles of Port Morsby USAAF P-39s an Lae IJN A6M2s of the Tainan Air Group. I guess you could almost use this scenario just pull both Navys and P-40s.

I think all planes in there should stay.  But if there was a way to coordinate the land-based with the CV based it would be nice.  May not be possible.  Flew the p39 for the first time tonight and it was fun, so I would totally give up on the land based.  Just didn't have the time to bring a wildcat up to the fight.

I'll stop babbling now.
