funked,
Provided you have good video drivers for Win2k and all your control sticks and things work, you will love it.
I recently "fixed" my wife's Stinkpad by toejamcanning Win98 and putting Win2k on it. It's very stable and works great. I also run Win2k as a server on my other machine, a Dual Celeron 366@500 on an Abit BP6. It is very sweet, and so far I have had it go over 2 months without a reboot. I've not been forced to reboot it ever due to OS instability.
Risk areas for Win2k are for any ATI video card (their drivers SUCK), USB devices, and some joystick setups. I've gotten most of the USB stuff worked out, but sometimes things like a USB web cam won't talk to netmeeting for example. Overall though, it's very sweet. I have 98 on my gaming system, but my next upgrade I will be going to 2k... or XP.
