Great FSO Turkey Shoot happened at A144 in Frame 3

I think ONE (maybe 2) bad guy made it home after attacking that field. Great defense of the base there by everyone flying in CAP around A144! We gave up a little but the reaper man took it all back...I honestly don't think a single SBD made it off the base and out of our defensive area after hitting 144.

I ended up with 2 and an assist but pancaked for a ditch in my bird on the rearm/refuel due to the gondolas I decided to up with. Surprisingly my two kills were against the Seafires that were escorting the first group of SBD's. The next group of SBD's that screamed in at low alt surprised all of us and gave me in that heavy 109G6 hell.

We lifted out of a144 and had to deal with a few of them on our way home. I would like to salute the defenders of A19. Nice job, you guys made it tough.

Big Salute to our escorts of JG11. Top notch fellas.

Big Salute back to the LCA for the bombing you folks inflicted on A19!   :salute

We lost a few to the Spitfires and Macchis over A19, but I think we gave as good as we got.  Three or four damaged Spits were seen to break off and land at A19.  Then we ran into Seafires about halfway home, where we lost a few more.  Two of us made it all the way home to A144 again.

A fun frame.  Thanks CMs!  It was a great way to top off the year.

think that was us, we were able to sneak in rather easy behind that first group of SBD's at 144. glade i brought the gondolas, there were more targets than i could shake a stick at.
