@Marine your running a laptop? Not the best platform for this game. Your going to have to scale you play setting down. Also with your sound try using the windows drivers rather then the the manufacture provided ones. Also if your web cam is external, unplug it reboot then play.
TilDeath pointed out some obvious things.... not all Operating Systems are the same ( WinXP, Vista, Win7 ) their pagefile used sizes will be extremely differing in size..a WinXP is best a 200mb's or less where as Vista and windows 7 will be way up around
750mb's +/- upwards possiblyalso, The very little space left on the Hard Drive, means your computer has to scan / search through all that data to access/read/write/access/read/write...... in turn possibly causing slow downs or hiccups in the using of the page file.especially if the pagefile is set to Windows managed and is not set to a specific area...your pagefile could be all over the HD possibly...
the USB stuff is problematic as well as having all those video/graphics/programs loaded up and possibly running in the background
another thing would be the power setting for a laptop..... when gaming on a laptop, you should have everything in the power management/power options control: set to High Performance, with nothing being set to be able to be automatically go to sleep, or shutdown, or what have you.... everything concerning a Laptop while gaming should be set to Never for the most part concerning the power options...
here is a link to Skuzzy's Tips on Vista and windows 7 tips ( although it is titled
