More factories
« on: January 07, 2011, 03:51:22 PM »
This idea is coming off of WWhiskey's BB factory idea.

No i don't see what BB factories would be used for. BUT Ord factories were well alive in WW2 and we could use them.

The Ord factories could bring a lot of pluses out of it.
1. Strategy: If you completley down a factory, then the ords go down twice as long, or as long as the ord factory is down. Resuping would lower the down time.
2. TRAINS!!! Everyone loves shooting trains.

Another factory could be the fuel depots that were in WW2. Same rules apply as in 1 and 2 of ord factories. EXCEPT, If the fuel depots go completley down then fuel is lowered to 25%. That is not too low. (You should have defended the factories better).

These factories wouldnt be 7 sectors behind enemy lines, but only 1 or 2. Would make them a more vulnerable target and could start some good high alt fights.

we do have ord factories, and keeping them down does delay the time for them to resupply at the bases. Some maps I think still have the trains and destorying them does effect the rebuild times at the field.

We currently have these "strategic" targets to bomb:

City, FLAK, Fuel, "Grunt" Training, radar, ... ... ... oh... and AMMUNITION factories.   ;)

I suggested in a separate thread some time ago to bring back the old spread out strategic targets for an additional non-combat or non-military target to attack.

how about just more than one city? or maybe small cities containing 2 types of factores with 1 big city containing all the factories too?
