...what happened to this plane ?

I was cleaning out old email on my 'puter and found the pics of the F4U and bearcat that crashed at osh kosh. Didn't the F4U pilot recover?

Just wondering.

I got to Oshkosh a few hours after that hapened.  From what I hear, the Bearcat will fly again, but the Corsair is destined to never fly again.

confirmed MarkVz,

i have a client who is a personal friend of the Bearcat driver. (the top 3 photos). I made an ad for Falcon insurance using the bearcat photo, only to find out a few weeks later it was involved in that crash. The f4 was totaled. the Bearcat might make it up again. One of the pilots was critical, but not sure which one.

The F4U pilot is Lad Doctor of Cavnaugh Flight Museum. There is no updates that show up last report was he still in bad shape.

In the right hands and enough money that plane could fly again.

From what I've heard, They have already started to rebuild that F4u.
That's just what I've heard.

OH! and my friend was at OshKosh, and has the wreck on video.
