Quick question: Are these Shots from the Film viewer in Fullscreen and then pasted into MSPaint (or something similar)?
If so, the fullscreen Film viewer is your monitors resolution whereas the MSPaint is only showing what it can with controls and bars in the way.  You don't see the whole picture (normally it will show the bottom most of the picture) and when you paste Windows will line up the new "paste material" up with the top left of the current screen and not the entire MSPaint application.  If you have an older Screenshot in MSPaint when you paste a new one the new Shot will overlap the current material but only lined up with your current views top left.

Picture that may explain since my words are, meh:

Notice that the top of the Red Shot is hidden behind the MSPaint controls, but it's still there and won't get overlapped with a new Shot.

Hope that helps, if it's not that, I have no idea. :)

Easiest way around that problem is to close paint after every time you save a shot.  When you re-open paint to paste a new shot, the screen will be blank.

Or to avoid having to re-open paint every time just hit File>New (Ctrl + N).
