6K base (excellent for buff launch) has the second drone start at launch pointing opposite direction and takes off that way only to be lost. I know I have seen other threads similar to this but as of yet no solution posted if there is one?

what if...a guy changed planes before take off and turned the backward facing drone? I know a silly idea but if a perfect bomber score is on the line this may be a way to get through this time.

cant pilot the drones. you can only jump to them to gun, i think, if you press 1 then you go back to the lead buff.

You can pilot the drones but in doinf so you will lose one plane as it shows as a bail.
