Idea for Off Hours arena

How about instead of shutting down 2 arenas and booting everyone, shut down the arena with the lowest number of players.  This way 2/3rds of the players can continue their current quest, whether it be a long bomber run, or a good GV fight, a nice furball, ect.

The way it is now, some people get their buff runs disrupted, or we simply lose a good furball, whatever the case may be.  It then takes quite a while to start up another decent GV/air battle, and some people lose perks if they dont make it home to land in time for the "boot"
The Kanonenvogel had 6 rounds per pod, this is not even close to being open for debate.

Shemp, think about it.
You have one arena constantly running, and an other one switched on and off. It sounds logical to keep the off hours running, but when you enable the LWblue, it will be totally empty, and who would log into an empty arena? Better to have one LW arena all the time, but that may create serious horde issues (262 time  :x), but thats still better than the potential boredom.

One of those ideas that sound good at first, but do not any more when you think about every consequence.

What happens when off hours ends? As Debrody said, you still can't simply open the other arena, because that one will be empty while already  running one will be locked for hours. We had that stuff for years. Now if you do the boot only when switching from off- to peak hours, but note vice versa, you will have a very odd rotation of maps.

But the main problem is: Peak hour maps are often large ones. Off hour population is by fare not large enough to sustain gameplay on such a large maps. So for a very momentary advantage (don't disrupt the fights one time) your get boredom and empty places for 10 hours. The off- thing was implemented to avoid exactly that.

I think they do that now.

They shut down one map and switch the second arena to a different map.
