P-39 37mm nose cannon
« on: May 26, 2011, 11:59:35 PM »
When I select "No Tracers"  I can still see the tracers for the 37mm.  Im not sure if this is a bug or not since I dont know whether or not its supposed to be this way, but the tracers disappear  for the German tater IIRC.

Tracers on the P-39s are hard-coded, since that gun didn't have an option. Every round had the tracer element on it. The tracers turn off for the MGs, though.

Actually, seems that anything in game over 30mm you cannot turn off tracers.

I don't know if it was all 37mm or just some.

I don't think my IL2 has them. I almost always fly with tracers off. I only seem to notice them on the P-39.

And I would not rule out that even if you see tracers from your rounds with tracers off it does not automatically mean that your opponent sees them being that every new version has it's own special oddities. Not saying this is the case. Just wouldn't take it for granted.

I think tracers are only iffy on drones bombers and turrets. Fixed forward on fighters if you don't see them, the enemy doesn't.
