Squad Shopping
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:20:34 PM »
I'm looking for a fighter squadron that is a little easy on the comms and flies together, trains together, and works well together as wingmen. I don't go for the loud and constant non-game related chatter, and I prefer brevity when communicating with fellow pilots in a dogfight. I have zero interest in lugging eggs anywhere for any reason, I've flown in base-taking squads and it just ain't for me anymore.

I've sorta' let myself become a one trick pony the last few months by flying the P-51D almost exclusively, I am absolutely infatuated with the aircraft. Now I'm looking to up my game. I don't want to fly turny birds, the American lineup is a good match for me but I've gotten great kicks out of 109's every time I've tried them.

What's a good squad for a guy like me? Flying together, teamwork, and brevity in comms is critical.

Hi GNucks. Give us a look.

We are a navy squad that will fly almost exclusively Navy iron (main ride is F4U-1A)
We hold HOG taining night on monday and FSO ride on thursday.
and while the level of the conversation going on during squads night is not of the highest level, we still are a fun bunch to fly with.

Give us a look

what is little known to many is that its aerodynamically impossible to achieve flight in fog, faster than 300mph, and fly above 10k with iron crosses painted on the wings. something to consider if you join any squad. but if your not flying with iron crosses than whats the point really. that being said...jawhol KN, fear the tator, chim chim charoo.

I think the Muffintops just might be the squad for you!

- We never fly wingman tactics because we don't know any, or rather any tactics at all really.
- We usually aren't even in the same grid, much less working together.
- Our comms are mostly joking around and blathering on about everything unrelated to the game.
- Bombing GVs and runways is a squad tradition.
- Training is kind of superfluous in our case, since we know all about ALT-F4.
- The best part - we never ever fly the P-51D.

So, when can you start?   :x

And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."
