Good loiter time and weight carrying capacity. I'm kind of surprised they list it as having a higher ceiling than the T28 though. I would have thought it would be the other way around.

Just curious, Why would a prop plane, any prop plane have a higher ceiling than a jet fighter?

Years back there was discussion of turning A-10s into firebombers.  They got a new lease on life after the first
Gulf War.

Seems like in all the clips of A-10's doing their "thing" , the last sounds you hear are grunts laughing . What a great sound . God bless those guys .
Sooo....What , are those guys here to kill you because God forgot too ?

and that is what makes them the most useful, and best at what they can and do do. they're right there, on station, bringing both moral support, and firepower to our guys on the ground.

i mean, c'mon....what marine or infantryman wouldn't feel good hearing the howl of those ge engines, shortly followed by the growl of that 30mm?

It's less of a growl, sounds more like a buzz with the volume of thunder. And it's awesome.
