My throttle does that from time to time and I usually have to disconnect it from the computer then plug it back in to get it to work. I have no idea why but it is the only way I can get it to work.

Check under power management for that device (through device manager) and make sure the check box for allowing the usb channel its on to sleep isnt checked. Might help.

I have all the USB ports selected to be powered full time. Unfortunately it has no effect. The settings in devices and printers shows that it is working normally. I can even see the bar moving as I move the throttle but for some reason AH doesn't see it changing at all, at least not until I disconnect and reconnect it. I even have everything on a powered hub.

Since I have moved over this new PC which runs on Windows 7, I have found more oddities than I have ever had. I usually find some kind of work around though.

Hmmm, odd, did you check the usb port your hub is plugged into for going into sleep? Cant think of anything else off the top of my head - got back from a gig at 3am having dropped off drunken bandmates - so not fully with it today (if I ever am lol....)

Thanks for your help wurz.

I actually went in and made sure all usb ports were on full time just to make sure that I got the right one.

I thought it pretty odd too. I will just have to stick to disconnecting and reconnecting it. It does seem to happen more frequently when the computer goes to sleep and then resumes than when I shut down and restart.

I may just have to start turning the pc off instead of letting it sleep.

Ya the "letting your computer sleep" part may be where your problem is. I thought Skuzzy <--- not sure so don't hold me to it... may have said that letting your computer "sleep" could cause problems. I know it was the first thing I turned off once I up-graded to Win7.

Another thing might be a weak power supply. That is why it's always a good idea to use a powered USB hub. The more USB devices you have to more power it sucks out of your computers power supply.

As Fugi says, windows implementation of "sleep" in win7 (and various other flavors of windows) is not very good. Suggest turning it off and starting from "scratch" as it were.
