I'd like the storch to drop a few clips for the .45.

I think it would be fun.

Agreed, I don't care if it has a score functional use whatsoever, it would just be fun.

No, it wouldn't be very fun. It's also not very realistic, nor very useful. It doesn't matter if you use a storch or a c-47 or a b-17. It's the same old tired suggestion and it goes nowhere. The few times it's been implemented it's a mess and a total waste of time. It is, quite literally, BUSY WORK for the pilots already shot down. It doesn't change anything else. All it does is keep people from logging from the SEA once their job is done.

My apologies Krusty for bring up a tired old subject, I shall en-devour to be more entertaining!  Some insightful comments.  I was thinking of the times RTB and ditching not far away from the field due to damage. I'd go get a squadie, if not for any score just for the camaraderie.  Perhaps I'm just sentimental I use to live on a fast boat that saw action picking up downed pilots.  Hours of playing captain.  As for the SEC/SEA I like the idea.  Last one I did AKpepper   lost her engine about 3/4 way home. Plenty of game time left to go back and collect pepper.

OK so you collect a downed pilot. How does that work? How is it scored? Is the pilot now un-ditched? Do you get credit? Do they get credit? How is that scored? Does the pilot that maybe damaged or shot down the pilot's plane you rescued get their kill somehow de-valued because you "saved" the pilot? Just tryin to get my head wrapped around how you intend it might be implemented into the game. And make no mistake I could give a rat's pittootie about points of any kind. But there's a lot here that do. Here's the forum in which you can state your case, so state away.

it works like this:  it takes you 1/2 to 1 hr to go pick up a downed pilot you get there and the pilots needs to press J on keyboard for <j>ump in.  but it took you so long that he got bored and went to sleep.  so you sit there looking at some cartoon pilot and decide that it was so stupid to fly so long then you are looking at another 1hr to come back so you just decide to ditch the stoch and press .ef
