I played mellophone bugle for the Memphis Blues, Madison Scouts, and The Bridgemen back in the late 70's and early 80's!!! Now I play for the Florida Brass!!! to all of us drum corps nut lol

That's cool, my wife was a Freelancer back in the 70s.  Her Sister as well, her Brother and Brother in Law.

Todays corps are really good but it's not like the corps back then. Now they've gone to B flat bugles instead of the G bugles. I thought it was bad enough when they went to 3 valve bugles. We had the " in your face" wall of sound and no AMPS!!! I still use a 2 valve Deg Dynasty mellophone bugle and we can put up one hell of a wall of sound!!!

You are right FBDragon, my wife tossed rifles, not flags   Still they are very good today.
