keep you alive during disco thing

Java updater asked permission and made my computer freeze last night while inflight in AvA.  Had to start the task manager to get the mouse cursor back to be able to click on the program not responding close program window for AH.  When I went back into AvA I'm in the tower.  Is the life preserver enabled in AvA or does it not work in this case?  When it works does it work by just returning you to your plane when you go online to the arena you were in without you doing anything?

You can check the setting yourself in the Arena Settings - even if you can't change them, you can see them...in any arena. If the AvA guys didn't turn it on, that would explain it. If it's on, you probably got shot down.

Sounds like it wasn't on.  The way the reconnect feature is supposed to work (and did for me) is if you get shot down before you reconnect, you respawn in free fall.
