Was stationed at Wright-Patt, and it's hands-down the best military aviation museum in the Continental US, in my opinion. My brother actually helped design the building that houses the B-36. While stationed there, I also got to wander around their restoration facility one day, on what is referred to as "the old flight line". Worth the stop (and it's free to get in) if you're in Ohio.

I've been there many times but never got to see the Valkerie because we never left the main museum.  It's been there the whole time?  Now I'm pissed!  Lyric, do you need a special pass to get to the presidential and R&D hangers?

No...you don't need a pass for Presidential aircraft.  The Museum has scheduled tours also if you so desire.

And they do go through the restoration hangar at times.
