Checking the logs from frame 3:

Wildcat1 from VF-17 got his name in the logs for shotting down the most enemy aircraft and distroying the most targets.  Not something you see often.  The "FSO Hattrick".

Wildcat is being modest, in practice Thursday night he nailed my G14 twice with a B24.  I'm not normally easy to bring down, and he did it easily twice.  Don't know if he's 999 quality yet, but he's an awfully darn good bomber gunner.  Was a good night for VF-17, no small part do to Wildcat   Also let me give a shout out to our fellow escorts.  The 332nd, 49th, and Air Raiders, between bomber fire and escort fire the red guys were in a meat grinder from what I saw
