Electra Headphones by Razer
« on: November 04, 2013, 12:35:05 PM »
I have an older PC with seperate jacks in the front one for audio and one for mic. The Electra has one male end with 3 bands. I need a splitter that will split my stereo from the inline mic. I tried StarTec brand but no luck. I have ordered the reccommended one from Razer and am a little nervous about it working... Does anybody have a similar issue or recomendation?

It sounds like the iThingy type. The connectors are for left, right, mic and ground. In which order, that's the question. And that's probably why your StarTec didn't work... Or you just plugged the speaker to the mic and vice versa? Or, your front panel connectors haven't been connected to the motherboard, or they've been connected wrong. Have you tried the splitter with the back panel audio connectors? There's even some possibility that you have a Realtek sound circuit and there's a tick in a wrong box, preventing the front panel to recognize new devices.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

The Electra headphones are designed to be used with smart phones, tablets and certain laptops.

Maybe it's designed to be used with Carmen Electra. Which is why it needs two plugs...  :devil
