CH Throttle
« on: November 01, 2013, 04:21:57 PM »
My CH throttle's hat switch finally gave out completely yesterday.

3 years of solid hat switch view changing service.

It doesn't centre itself and the click has ceased in all direction but looking right.
Looking front left, back left, back and back right has become pretty much impossible but works when it chooses to.
For some reason it often gets stuck looking back at random times.

Certainly worth it's price for the punishment in hours it has taken over those years in AH.

It is repairable. Most likely the grey plastic piece of the "hat" has worn out enough that it doesn't reach the little buttons any more. Open it up and switch the "hat" with one of the others (castles, hat so on) that didn't get as much use. Takes ten minutes. I saved my old "analog" set just to do things like that. Of course in the years I've had the new USB set I have only had to swap out a button that failed.
