Hello all, is there some way that we can bombard bases without the enemy seeing where the shells are coming from,just frustrating to lose fleet every time from bombers honing in on your position,to sink the cv,and cruiser.followed by bomber pilot typing glup,glup  thanks for putting up with my rant!

most gunners will start firing on town or base from well over 20 miles away.  the fault is not the contrails but rather the gunners.

Those tracers are quite usefull for aiming and they are pretty looking from the air ^^

Get someone who can aim in the 5in.  You can easily kill planes at max icon range (10k) when you know what you are doing.

Very true...as I have personally experienced this on the receiving end more times than I care to remember.

In the real world I don't think they had contrails. Back in they day we had M-110 8" guns shooting overhead, sounded awesome as the rounds traveled but no contrails. I know contrails are related to atmospheric conditions though having seen artillery shoots in all kinds of weather, from the heat of the desert to cold, humid conditions I've never seen them.

Maybe we get rid of the contrails on shells and move them to airplanes above 10k or something.

If anything, I think bases should start FLASHING when they and/or their town is being shelled.  Same goes for Strats and HQ.  Starts flashing when being shelled.
