more realistic communication.no radio when in a chute
« on: July 27, 2014, 05:15:10 PM »
when your in a plane or gv,you have a radio, you use specific radio channels to communicate with others,GREAT.  in ww2 pilots did not have the handheld radios that they had in the vietnam era.ww2 pilots did not have radios for the most part after they bailed out.therefore they should not have radio or text privs when not in the aircraft or gv that has the radio.........in ww2 they did have floating in the ocean first aid bouys that had food water, med supps and a radio that if the downed pilot could make it to that....he could get assistance..  i really dont think we need the buoy's. the guy can just end sortie.  what would this do to game play? well first thing, a guy in a chute or who bails on ground will not be able to help in an attack.......if the guy has another form of communication...like cell phone and calls friend...chalk that up to getting help from partisans, lol

A lot of squads already use 3rd party voice such as TemSpeak, Ventrilo, or Mumble.

Remember when you could see the chute icon at 6K (same icon as enemy/friendly)? AND they couldn't end "flight" till they landed? I have seen folks auger trying to get them :lol :lol

This is just a warm up whine for the day Hitech includes the 11th troop for town and base captures. The 11th troop will be player controlled. Spawn camping will have a new meaning in the game. Just think about a deacked field and some turkey with a Thompson hiding behind the rearm shack popping pilots through the canopy the moment they spawn.

So then what kinds of limitations to this would be needed? You cannot up an M3 or C47 in the hanger and drop 11 troops to allow a squad mate to hunt down the rearm shack spawn camper? They would have to be brought in from the next base? Would you then be able to drop 11 troops on your own town to get your own trooper with a Thompson into the map room? Unintended consequences..........
