Flown by Erwin Bacsila of III(Sturm)/JG4 1944.

This skin sports a representation of the R7 supplemental pilot armor package under the canopy.

Beautiful skin, Devil505.    Nice work on the armor plating under the canopy.   Nice, extra realistic touch I think.

Id fly this skin. Will it show up for the A5 of A8?

Also, many German planes have some version of a yellow band around the cowling. What is the significance of that?

This will be on the A-5. In reality, the A-6 was identical to the A-5 except for redesigned wing to allow fitting the Mg 151/20 cannon in the outer weapon bay.

The use of yellow on the cowl was a measure of identifying friendly aircraft. In the early years, this meant painting the entire cowl yellow, later this was changed to just the underside of the cowl (like this aircraft). Specifically, the yellow band was used in 1945 on aircraft operation in the east, trying to hold back the Soviets. This band was also sometimes used I conjunction with a yellow chevron on underside of the left wing.

Looking good! Nice job!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

We need this skin for the Scenario, Skuzzy.  We have no JG 4.   If you can include in January update that would be outstanding, and you could put me in the book for another.

Hoping this is the skin that keeps Earl up at nights in January.

Well done, Devil.

Boo, aircraft with a yellow underside to the cowling are marked for service on the Eastern Front.  Many ended up in the west as well, having never been over painted to match
