Epic Big Boat Battle
« on: August 22, 2015, 12:13:52 AM »
For those of you that missed the BBB in 6.1 you truly missed out on fun.  Never saw so much lead fly by so many players in such a small area!  Truly epic.  Went on for a solid hour at that!!  Haven't had that much fun in a long time.

I spent my time driving 83 and 84 and that was a hoot all in itself.  There was so much lead flying at some points and at such close range I figured the server would crash LOL!!  Nothing better than 40 guys knife fighting in a telephone booth

I counted at least 20 torpedos in the water from both sides from the bridge of the CV.  Freaking torpedo trails every which way LOL!!

Big (S) to the CMs that got this put in.  Hope to see more of that when we have sea scenarios.

I'm glad you enjoyed it,  when I first joined the battle I thought that maybe it wasnt going exactly as planned judging from my squad vox.

I launched a few PT sorties,  all the Allied CVs had been sunk fairly quickly, lots of lead was flying that's for sure.

Thanks for participating.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

As soon as we saw the ships spawn into sector 6.1 about 15 before the battle start I turned the IJN boats into the stinking ALLIED boats.  Managed to match speed and direction with one TG while being at point blank range right as the shot out started.  So yes the first ALLIED boats didn't fair well LOL.  We of course lost all of ours soon after.  Hard to save a boat as 25 torpedo's are coming at you from 1000'.   :rofl

The guys that had the best gun positions were the guys in the twin 40mm's.  Being so close they just hosed the place down which was really funny to watch.

Don't suppose any kill data was retained was it.  Might be funny to see how many ships some guys killed.
