Tigercat.... Called "the best fighter I ever flew" by the Navy's Chief Test Pilot.... Think of it as a "twin Bearcat". Among the heaviest in standard armament installed on a fighter: 4 x 20mm Hispano type cannon and 4 x .50 cal. MG. A Marine squadron of F7F-2N fighters was operating out of Okinawa when Japan quit. The Japanese never showed up....
