Unusual customer service experience

After several years away and with AH3 here I am making plans for a return. So in the process of pricing a new computer to replace the old beast I pulled my x52 out of storage. Rudder pedals work great, throttle and stick seem in order.....cable that connects the throttle and stick is missing. My first thought is great add $250+ to the rebuild for a new stick.
I decided to try and contact saitek on the slim chance I could order a replacement cable. I emailed tech support on Saturday. I get a response on Monday (automated due to holiday) that the ticket has been forwarded to the warehouse to see if they have parts available. I figure in a couple of weeks I'll get told tough luck. In my email today is a response I never expected. Not only do they have the cable but it has already shipped to me free of charge. Above and beyond....never thought that would happen.

Cool! Just for future reference, or if you ever want an extension, it's a standard PS/2 cable, available pretty much anywhere that sells electronics.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Good to know. But I don't hold much faith in my local electronics stores. Even the local Best Buy is a joke.

Lost mine a long ago for the x52 from stick to throttle, bought a basic ps/2 cable on ebay for 2.50 including shipping and it works just fine. Plus I ordered a longer one since the original was a little on the short side
