Making custom objects
« on: March 20, 2017, 09:35:52 PM »
I'd like to try my hand at making some alternate objects for special event maps. What I'm aiming for is a complete replacement for the standard small airfield with an improvised forward air base design in a cleared field. I want fighter hangars to be simple revetments and vehicle hangars to be farming barns. Bomber hangars will be the only large structures. Ammo bunkers will instead be stacks of bombs and weapon crates and the large fuel tank replaced with a stack of fuel drums.

Problem is that I don't know where to start making 3D objects and using the AH object editor.

Get someone to help you with the function "tower" which is an object like entrpnt(vehic, fitr, bombr,PT) and the physical object you will call the tower so the tower function works with the object tower and you are not looking up from between blades of grass. I tried to lay down only a tower object and associate the tower function to it with unexpected results.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
