P39 L Variant.
« on: March 17, 2017, 05:55:28 AM »
It is a simple wish. The p39L was a variant of The p39 that had Rocket Rails. I think it would be rather nifty and easy plane to squeeze in for little effort.

We already have a variant that can carry rockets. Forgive me for saying it, but it's been done before... This seems like it may be a request for the P-39D-2 with the supposed high-power engine rating in disguise. That's essentially what the P-39L was. It doesn't seem like the rocket rails were even used.

As far as variants go, the -L was one of the least representative variants in the lineup.

Truthfully I'd rather see the P-63 if we are going to be making mods on the P-39s frame.

Neither of the two current p-39s The D or the Q have rockets Krusty. Your ancient in this game I would assume you knew that -.- I fly the 39Q and D alot and I would love to have the ability to take out rockets. To be frank though I really don't see the number of the plane being a big issue it had plenty of them made unlike the 262's and 163 but we have those. I am just stating Adding rocket rails and the stuff onto the D or Q model would be a minimal effort job for another variant that would be cool in my opinion. I would honestly LOVE to have the p-63 king cobra as well but tons of people dont want it.

It's not that they don't want the KC, it's that they want whatever it is they want, first.  Beau before A-26, A-26 before Meteor, etc. :)

I seem to remember this was proven to be not a very good idea even though 250 were produced with the attachment points under the wings. For the jobs the P39 was sent out to do by that time, they used a bomb and the 37mm.
