Contrails for Bombers over 20k and flares out of canopy for pw pilots

Contrails for bombers over 20k would be great

also a little added feature when coming in with a pilot wound or severely damaged AC

the pilot could shoot a flare into the sky. make it red for color of blood and I just got a bullet in my cartoon pilot

contrails shouldn't be too hard... (think all engines oiled but white) ??

Let's face it, the smoke/steam effects in this game are not very good. They do not spread and fade very realistically. Seeing contrails of the current standard of effects would not increase the realism for me but decrease it.

If contrails were introduced I would be against a specific altitude in which you see them, also against contrails always being produced.  Contrails R/L depend on atmospheric conditions.

Perhaps contrails in a "block" of altitude a few thousand feet thick.  Height of altitude block would vary over different areas of the map....ie: NW quadrant contrails 22-26k, SE corner 28-35k...etc.

the frame rate hit during fso and the inability to see the bombers would basically kill it along with scenarios.

other than the factor of it would be cool, why the need for contrails?

And not as common as one would think. 

We have lots of pics of contrails...because they look cool.    We don't have as many without.  People think contrails are a daily event.   I go MONTHS at 41,000 feet and NEVER NEVER NEVER see a contrail.

Maybe the chemtrail tanks are empty(?).

I'd be worried more about the effect on frame rates than the realism of it.

Nice if HTC can produce it in a decent way though.

Contrails are actually not that common. If they were the daily sky over the US would never be clear.

it would add to immersion, in CLOD contrails is hard-set to 21k. Maybe best for scenarios.
