Reflections so wrong
« on: April 14, 2017, 02:16:29 AM »
I love how the reflections add depth and direction to the image, both inside the plane and in the Tower. However, seeing the reflection of the steel runway on the canopy glass when looking back is something you won't expect to see at 12.000 ft.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

What is your environment mapping slider set at? If it's none or the first position, a static copy of the environment is mapped when you spawn.
My Current Rig:
GigaByte GA-X99-UD4 Mobo w/ 16Gb RAM
Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit
NVidia GTX 970 4Gb ACX 2.0
Track IR, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals

My EM is set to None. Guess that explains it.

A further question: There's a check box for disabling Reflection. If I understand correctly, it will make the erratic reflections disappear with the cost of vividness. Now if I take off with Reflection disabled, enabling it during my flight, what would it reflect from outside the plane?
