This is part of a broader trend I call "crapification." Circular customer service phone menus are a good example. Specific to TV I notice that often the sound and picture are not synchronized. You would think that if they could get that right in days of optical recording they could get it right now but THEY just don't care.

I'm surprised you guys can't hear it in the link above or haven't noticed it on broadcasts.

You should be happy to not have to buy expensive equipment because the improvement in sound will do you no good.

Kid you're too young for that to be happening. Best take care from now on to minimize the damage. I have tinnitus pretty bad, myself, and and it sucks. But, I'm 65 (almost) so it's to be expected.

Same here nooby (45 here) I've had tinnitus for 15yrs. For me There is literally no such thing as silence

Remember those annoying horns at the world cup games a few years ago?

Found that sound now on a local radio station.

This sound is sometimes accompanied by a series of "phone dialing" sounds every once in a while.........but not here.

Same exact sound on the George C. Scott clip on AMC..........right as the wind blows.

its your cell phone, every few minutes it pings the tower updating its info and it interferes with your tv. more cell phones = more noises.
