If you find Havermyr online ask him, he is the best bomber guy around.

Well first and foremost, how are these guys pulling off 50,000 damage point sorties?

Does anyone have a target/damage points schedule?

Does anyone have any real good maps?

when dropping bombs there are a couple things to think on. for high damage points you have to use the bomb splash damage. you use a b17, in formation and drop one bomb and you can drop a simgle FH. do the same thing in a town, one set of bombs and you will get 20-30 buildings. im not sure of the point value , but a bunch of building are worth more than a single hanger.

also, in bombing a town your hit percentage goes up.  1 bomb per FH vs 1 bomb for 10-15 buildings. the starts work the same way, 1 bomb many buildings. i know Lusche aka Snailman had the starts down pat and could get max damage knowing where to hit with each bomb to use the splash damage to the best effect. maybe he will post his secrets.

what it takes to drop anything in the game is listed on the help page as well as in the arena setting when you log in the game.

There is no real 'secret'. Any veteran AH bomber pilot would know can maximise his 'landed damage' message and/or bomber score points. Just as you already said, if you are going for this kind of points, you want to kill a large number of reasonably large objects. Towns and some of the factories are best for that. To maximise your points, destroy as many of those buildings as you can. That's all there is to it.

But of course, every vet bomber pilot also knows that is very easy to pull off and often doesn't mean anything for the battle. Someone landing 'only' a few k of damage may have accomplished a much bigger feat. The landed damage messages and even the score sheet lack context. Just saying this because newer players often get kinda distracted by those numbers.

Almost forgot one thing: The 'landed damage' message and score damage points are only very remotely connected to each other. Two sorties with similar 'landed damage' messages can give very different amount of score points.

Okay thanks Lusche and Fugitive that explained a few things.  Let me play with this bomb splash thing for a bit and then I am sure there will be more questions :)

Also.. study clipboard maps of what you are targeting to get the best line up on larger clusters of buildings.

If you do a 'milk run' and drop on towns you can get a ton of damage score, this is however not very productive and soley for padding score. Other than that 15-20k in damage is doable in for ex lancs against a town if you white flag it plus drop dar and vh.

It is much better for your team if you hit strats, Radar-Ammo-Troops-City etc. which has a strategic effect on the game and helps those taking bases on your side.  It also yields good points too.  That's what you find Havermyr doing most of the time.  Get with Havermyr or APP75 for gunnery tips, I find those two to be the most dangerous to attack.  It isn't about just getting your pipper on me when I am attacking, it's also about those maneuvers made as I approach to make me miss while you are shooting me.

to add to what Laser said, if you right click on the clipboard you can select "clipboard maps". here you can select a map of the target you are going for in the drop down menu.

oh, and if you want to milk run towns just for points go for it. it's fun and challenging to beat you old totals 😁

Haven't flown much strat runs lately but against you and Snailman maneuvering is a more effective counter meassure..
But against the average fighter stick it's pretty easy to defend.

Yup you all are right in everything you said and it is very disappointing :)

The more irrelevant non strategic a target is, the more damage points you get.  Seems really backwards to me but what do I know!

If you are going to milk run, try letting a few people you trust know, mind as well help your team capitalize on a WF town for a possible capture, or pulling traffic to defend it away from the real target!

Also, to add a specific example to Lazer's observation, normal towns have a layout that allows you to devide it into a "long" way and a "short" way. Best way to approach a town by yourself (for accuracies sake and spreading out the delay for max damage) is to drop across the length of it. This makes more sense if you spend some time flying around a town and realizing how it streaches out. You can WF a town with lancs easly doing this; probably other birds but that is just my limited experience giving an example.

IMO, you are an amazing "on the fly" bomber when you can predict and hit CVs and such. Moving targets (when they are expecting the drop) are where the chalange is at to really test your accuracy.
