I'm sure we'll find out eventually, but is it common to have 16 people aboard a KC130?

Was it just a transit flight with extra crew aboard?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

According the release from the USMC, it was a transport flight en route to El Centro.

Read that witnesses saw it explode in mid air, and the debris pattern supports that so far.  The plane was possibly loaded with ammunition.

It was taking a Marine Raider team to MCAS Yuma in preparation for an over seas deployment, sot the team had all its gear and ammo onboard.
