Used to have an amazing stick..

That I haven't ever been able to truly replace. It was a Saitek Cyborg Graphite, probably from the late 90s as I  acquired it from my older brother a decade (or more) ago. It wasn't a twisty stick (which I had no problem with), a hat switch, three large 'thumb buttons, a trigger, and a throttle on the rear base of the stick. Simple, but everything right where it should be. It lasted quite a long time (at least 6 years on and off from me, and possibly more from my brother before then)

It was this with the hand rest stuff taken off.



I've tried a Logitech 3d pro and it just seemed so awkward that I could never really get used to it, and unfortunately it would cost as much to ship it to me from back home as it would to buy another one brand new.

Other Saiteks of the same model are available every now and again in Amazon used of questionable quality, and usually more expensive that I would care to pay for a stick of questionable quality.

So I'm interested, do you guys have any favorite, simple, cost effective sticks that might still be around?

thrustmaster t16000 is 60 bucks new. hall sensors so it is accurate, well built and takes a beating. I k ow one guy who has been using his for years.

I have the saitek x55 and have worn out hat switches o. other pieces. going to rebuild them using aluminium,  until then I bought a thrustmaster to use.

Costs about $60. There's also a kit with a throttle for ~$110 and another kit with throttle and pedals for ~$180.

I've had mine for years and the guys who recommended it to me have had theirs a year longer.

I liked the feel of the T6000 just didn't like the buttons. If it was done more like an F16 stick it would be a great stick.

Best value for the money that I've found is the Thrustmaster T.16000M.  That's what I get when buying sticks for friends or for folks I recruit into AH.

However, what I use is a CH Products Flightstick and CH Products pedals.  That setup is too expensive for me to be buying them for others, but it's what I like best.
