Few Things
« on: July 06, 2017, 03:30:19 PM »
Got two texture error messages in tower something like Type:FFFFFFFFF 000000024

When flying co-alt through clouds next to a b-24.  i look left to see him, i see him and his icon, one second later a large cumulus cloud pops near him, between us, his icon and him are now hidden behind the cloud. look strait, repeat procedure, get same result. one second delay befor cloud appears and dims enemy.

Clouds still "twist" when i "roll", and no im not talking about a new katy perry song.  been seing this since clouds were introduced, i notice it most when looking up.

Need a DXDIAG output, particularly for those texture creation errors.

Your issues may be video card related. Yours seems to have the old DDR3 type memory which is very slow compared to the GDDR5 used in gaming level cards.

Also, as you may have heard/read, speaking of the Nvidia cards, the tens indicate the relative power within the video card series, the hundreds telling the generation. #45 is at the lower end, the serious gaming level starting from #60. Most likely you should tame your settings quite a lot for a decent gameplay.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

I suspect it may be related to the really old video card driver you are using (circa 2014).  You might consider updating the video driver.

If you have not done so, you really should disable a few of the advanced graphic options as the 745 really does not have the performance to run the game well, with everything enabled.

I moved this to Technical Support until we get everything sorted out with the computer and game settings.

kk

ill update driver.....cautiously.  computer seems fine now.  :uhoh

frame rates do max at 59 in cruise.   :D  my 262 nose down on the deck shooting at a turning foe....im not sure of frame rates, i was trying to kill the guy, but i dont think bruv would of have a chance... :rofl  i did get one guy with a blind shot under my nose. to quote SHAWK "I just threw a few out there"  :D

i've got alot turned off.  shadows are on because they make flying in the environment sweeter.  I would not say i have a frame rate problem.  but if loading of graphics is a problem maybe ill start working on a christmas list.  It has been my plan to update the video card, but this one aint broke yet.   :P  or maybe it is...

thanks for the service.

It's nt a bad card, but it is slow enough that turning off shadows and detail should be considered in order to keep its resources from being over run.

The texture error could be driver related, by the way.
